Elgoods
Elgood & Sons LtdNorth Brink Brewery, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire PE13 1LN, Tel (01945) 583160. The North Brink Brewery was established in 1795 and was one of the first classic Georgian breweries to be built outside London. In 1878 it came under the control of the Elgood family and is still run today as one of the few remaining independent family breweries, with the fifth generation of the family now helping to run the company. The beers go to 43 Elgood’s public houses within a 50-mile radius of Wisbech and free-trade outlets throughout East Anglia, while wholesalers distribute nationally. Elgood’s has a visitor centre, offering the opportunity to combine a tour of the brewery and the magnificent gardens.
