Oakham plans to find future pubs with character to slowly build a pub estate. Currently, three pubs are owned, each tied and selling cask ale. Between 60 and 100 outlets are supplied. Seasonal beers: Tsunami (ABV 4%), JHB Extra (ABV 4.2%), 5 Leaves Left (ABV 4.5%), Kaleidoscope (ABV 4.7%), Harlequin (ABV 4.9%), Mompessons Gold (ABV 5%), Helter Skelter (ABV 5%), Old Tosspot (ABV 5.2%), Black Hole Porter (ABV 5.5%), Cold Turkey (ABV 6.3%). ![]() Jeffery Hudson Bitter or JHB (OG 1038, ABV 3.8%):Popular, straw-coloured, light-bodied bitter with a strong aromatic hoppy signature, hints of grapefruit marmalade, and a strong bitter and drying finish. ![]() White Dwarf Wheat Beer (OG 1043, ABV 4.3%):Full-bodied yellow-golden beer with a well-defined citrus hop, rounded off with a gentle underlying malty sweetness in the mouth but ending bone-dry with hops holding up well. |
![]() Bishops Farewell (OG 1046, ABV 4.6%):Intensely hoppy and full-bodied golden best bitter. Tropical fruit flavours provide a counterpoint to the grapefruit hoppy character. An abiding dryness develops. ![]() Helterskelter (OG 1050, ABV 5%):A summer beer. ![]() Mompesson's Gold (OG 1050, ABV 5%):Available March-Oct.
Old Tosspot (OG 1052, ABV 5.2%):Powerful and complex tawny ale with spicy hop, an array of fruity flavours and a distinctive smooth malty background, ending dry and bitter.
