The two-barrel plant produces a prolific range of beers and supplies half a dozen local outlets. The regular beers are brewed on a rota basis, with special beers brewed to order. Seasonal beers: Fineshade (ABV 3.8%, autumn), Sanity Clause (ABV 4.3%, December), Old Herbaceous (ABV 4.5%, winter). Forest Gold (OG 1040, ABV 3.9%)A hoppy blonde ale with citrus flavours. Well-balanced and clean finishing. |
Hop Devil (OG 1040, ABV 3.9%)Six hop varieties give this light amber ale a bitter start and spicy finish. A1 Amber Ale (OG 1041, ABV 4%)A hoppy session beer with fruit and blackcurrant undertones. Saxon Cross (OG 1041, ABV 4.1%)A golden-red ale with nut and coffee aromas. Citrus hop flavours predominate. Fruits of the Forest (OG 1043, ABV 4.2%)A multi-layered beer in which summer fruits and several spices compete with a big hop presence. Dark Forest (OG 1050, ABV 5%)A dark and complex beer, similar to a Belgian Dubbel, with numerous malty/smoky flavours that give way to a fruity bitter finish.
