A pub brewery established in November 2007 by Bob Mitchell, which operates from an extension to the Chequers free house, that has been run by the Mitchell family for 57 years, and by Bob's father Sid before him. This is the first commercial brewery within the area covered by Huntingdonshire CAMRA since the closure of Paines in St Neots just over 20 years ago, after its takeover by Tolly Cobbold in 1987. Bob has produced a wide variety of "one off" brews and is still experimenting, so as yet there an no regular brews. West Norfolk brewery Iceni have been providing ingredients and Iceni’s Brendan Moore has been providing advice for the new brewery.
