The Campaign for Real Ale is the pub-goers champion. We promote fine beers in great pubs and defend the rights of the drinker. If you drink beer or like pubs CAMRA is the place for you!

National recognition for local pubs

Congratulations to three pubs in our branch area which have won national awards this year. They are:

Community Pubs Week Tour

The ever-popular community pubs week coach tour returns on the 13th of February. The coach will pick up from a variety of places between St. Neots and St. Ives between 11.45am and 12.45pm. The tour will be visiting the following pubs:

  • Green Man at Leighton Bromswold
  • Swan at Old Weston
  • Addison Arms at Glatton
  • Admiral Wells at Holme
  • Three Horseshoes at Wistow
  • Royal Oak at Warboys
  • Mad Cat at Pidley
Returning to all pickup points between 7pm and 8pm. Book your place and confirm pick-up times by emailing socials@huntscamra.org.uk stating where you'd like to be picked up. Free for CAMRA members, £5 for non-members (space permitting).

Sample a selection of the best pubs in the branch area. This list is updated every 3 months, and the pubs are selected based on continuous beer quality surveying by local CAMRA members. If you are a local CAMRA member and would like to help in the surveying, please login to the Members area.

CAMRA National News

CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, has reached agreement with the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) to stay its appeal to the Competition Appeal Tribunal challenging the OFT's initial response to CAMRA's super-complaint in October 2009.

CAMRA are now accepting nominations from across the UK to find its National Club of the Year for 2011.

1872 Porter from the Elland Brewery has today been crowned the Supreme Champion Winter Beer of Britain 2010 by a panel of judges at the National Winter Ales Festival in Manchester.

CAMRA has announced it will hold a charity auction at the National Winter Ales Festival, Manchester, on Friday January 22nd to raise money for the victims of the Cumbria floods.

CAMRA has welcomed the Government's decision to revoke the Land Agreements Exclusion Order 2004 after campaigning for its revocation as part of the campaign to reform the beer tie.
