2009 Good Beer Guide
|
The new edition of the Good Beer Guide has been launched, and is how available from CAMRA online, and from your local branch. The 2009 edition of CAMRA’s best-selling guide to Britain’s 4,500 top real ale pubs was launched in September 2008. The best place to find good pubs and good beer. Buy the Good Beer Guide 2009 now! "The definitive rundown of the best places in the UK to get a pint of real ale, from cosy country inns to upmarket style bars." - Time Out Magazine. Now in its 36th year, the Good Beer Guide is fully revised and updated, with information on more than 4,500 pubs, and a unique section listing all the breweries - micro, regional and national - that produce cask beer in the UK.
CAMRA has launched another new hi-tech service for beer lovers to accompany the Sat-Nav Points of Interest file - The Good Beer Guide Mobile Edition. Together with the updated Sat-Nav file for the 2009 Guide (available on TomTom, Garmin and Navman devices), this will offer the perfect solution to pub finding on the move! |
There are approximately 145 pubs within the Branch area, covering the full range of styles from rural village inns to busy town centre pubs. The Branch carries out regular surveys of pubs in its area throughout the year. The results of these surveys are considered at selection meetings when the Branch's allocation of 17 pubs are nominated for inclusion in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. See a list of our areas pubs that were in previous editions of the guide, and a league table to see which of the areas pubs have been in most editions of the Good Beer Guide (continuous sequence of entries). |
